Daniel grew up and went to school in Sammamish, playing trombone in the Pine Lake Middle School and Skyline High School bands. He attended college at the University of Mobile in Alabama graduating Magna Cum Laude with a degree in music education. There he played in a percussion and brass ensemble that toured the Southeast United States. He currently substitute teaches in the Lake Washington and Issaquah School Districts. He also plays in the Eastside Modern Jazz Orchestra and the Woodinville Concert Band. The key to playing trombone is to play smoothly. Daniel mainly focuses on teaching legato playing in order to achieve a beautiful connected sound. He also teaches theory to help students read and understand music more proficiently.
