Greg Robinson
Teaching: Guitar

Greg Robinson

Greg has been playing music for over 20 years.  He has been performing and writing music for over 10 years, teaching in the Issaquah area for over 5 years and is one of the founding members of Kaleidoscope School of Music.

Greg received his Bachelor’s degree in Physics from the University of Washington in 2009 while maintaining a full teaching schedule.  He is also the lead singer/songwriter for the Seattle-based rock band National Broadcast.  Greg started the band in 2008 with fellow Kaleidoscope guitar instructor, Bob Limbocker, local bassist Ed McKenzie, and Ben Smith who is also the drummer for world famous rock band Heart.  During the life of National Broadcast and Greg’s tenure at Kaleidoscope he has had opportunities to share the stage with Presidents of United States guitarist Andrew McKeag, to record at Paul Allen’s private recording studio, and to share the band’s music, in studio, with Anne Wilson of Heart, Mike Inez of Alice in Chains, and guitarist/songwriter Steve Cropper.

These experiences have inspired Greg to focus heavily on the “real world” application of music theory and guitar technique.  His approach to teaching is client-centered, with students’ goals setting the compass.

Greg is a true renaissance man.  If he is not playing or teaching music he is golfing, cycling, swimming, or running.  He is also a contract physicist for Questar Energy Systems.  He currently resides in Maple Valley with his wife Megann.
