DAVID ARTHUR JOHNSON (Clarinet
/ Saxophone)
 David
has been performing and teaching as a professional clarinetist
and saxophonist since 1983.
David earned his Master of
Music degree from the Saint Louis Conservatory of Music
and has studied privately with Roy D’Antonio, a prominent
Hollywood studio musician; David Howard of the Los Angeles
Philharmonic; and George Silfies, principal clarinetist
of the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra.
David has performed with the
Fresno Philharmonic and as a member of the Camas Wind Quintet.
He was on the faculty at Pacific Lutheran University, and
has served as a performer, clinician, and adjudicator in
schools and music festivals around the country.

ALASTAIR FRAY (Flute)
 Alastair
is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music in New
York. He has trained under Rick Breitstein, Martha Aarons
and the world renowned Bonita Boyd. He
specializes in classical flute instruction and performance
with specific experience winning Washington state orchestral
auditions and solo competitions.

ALAN JACOBSON (Mandolin, Guitar, Mandola, Mandocello)
 Alan
has
been
a performer and music educator in the Seattle
area for over
30 years. He is
the Musical Director and Concertmaster of the
Seattle Mandolin
Orchestra and the Emerald
City Mandolin Quartet, and has performed with
ensembles of all shapes, sizes and genres.
Although Alan specializes in the classical
tremolo approach to mandolin instrument family
technique and interpretation, he plays and teaches
most styles, including rock, folk, jazz, bluegrass
and the blues. So, whether you want to
learn and read and play written music, or improvise
and play by ear, Alan will help you develop your
own strategy for success and show you how to gauge
your own progress -- and help you build the proper
technique for any genre along the way.

MEG MANN (Harp, Piano)

Meg
Mann holds a BA in Music with emphasis in music theory and composition from the
University of Washington where she studied piano with Kathryn
Collier and piano duets with Neal O’Doan.
She has been teaching piano for the past 25 years and harp for the last
10 years. Her compositions include works
for piano, harp, string quartet, choirs, and various other instrumental
ensembles. She continues to study the harp
with master instructor Alison Austin and is seeking certification with N. Jane
Tan at the Well Prepared Pianist Institute in Seattle. Meg
has performed on harp, piano, flute, and voice for several dances in the Seattle and Portland areas.

TOM MAEDA

Tom
is a graduate of Berklee College of Music (Boston) and
an accomplished session player, producer and arranger

skill at a diversity of styles.

DIANE QUICK (Music for Little Mozarts {PreK, K}, Piano, Bassoon)
Diane Quick has been playing piano and organ for the past 25 years since her
graduation from the University of
Wisconsin. Her teacher's heritage
can be traced back to Bach. She was a member of the Wind Ensemble performing at
the national MENC convention under David Greene, playing clarinet, bassoon and
piano. Her love of music and the opportunity to teach music to a wide
clientele brings her to Kaleidoscope School of Music. Diane has experience with all ages from 4 to
64. Group music classes will be a wonderful way to involve pre-K age children
in learning music and introducing them to the possiblities of piano (or other)

CHERLYN JOHNSON (Violin, Viola, Piano)
 A
violinist, violist, pianist and dynamic teacher, Cherlyn
has played throughout the US and Europe in concert and
at conferences and events. A versatile performer, she’s
played with various bands, orchestras, and artists including
Natalie Cole, Liza Minnelli, and Yanni. Cherlyn has
a Master’s Degree in Violin from the St. Louis
Conservatory, served on the faculty of Merit Music Conservatory
and many other music schools across the country, was
Artistic Director and Chamber Music Coach at Jefferson
Academy of Music (Ohio), served as Violinist and Pianist
for the Prestige Trio (Columbus) and the Arcangelo Trio
(St. Louis), and coached chamber music at Mankato State

DEB COLLINS (Fiddle/Violin)
 Deb
Collins is a Pacific Northwest native with an infectious
passion for the "Fiddle" which began back in
1974 and hasn't stopped since.
Her busy schedule takes her
all over King and Pierce Counties where she visits students’
homes and local music stores and studios sharing her experience
and knowledge with anyone who has the desire to learn to play
the Fiddle. Her unique methods and fun approach guarantee
successful results even if the student has never played before!
She belongs to the Tacoma
Celtic Players, Washington State Old Time Fiddler's Association,
dances with the Irish Dance School, Scoil Rince Slieveloughane,
attends local Contra Dances, and plays professionally
as well.

MASA KOBAYASHI

 Hailing
from Tokyo, Masa has performed and recorded with local
and international artists throughout Europe and the US.
Educated at Shoreline and Cornish, Masa has experience
with many musical styles from punk, metal, funk and jazz
to middle-eastern and african music. In 2003, he was honored
as one of the top 5 bassists in Madrid, Spain. As a teacher
he focuses on popular songs, fingerboard knowledge, reading
skills and solid rhythmic training.

SANDY GREENBAUM (Drums)
Sandy focuses
his teaching on the rudiments of drumming. Rudiments are the
basic patterns developed by marching drummers for control, speed, and
agility. They help make drumming easier and more fun. These
rudiments are
then applied to the drum set. After that we work on the basic
elements of rock drumming, using all four limbs and understanding thow
they work when playing beats that fit with other musicians. More
advanced students can focus on other styles of drumming, including
Jazz, Latin, Funk, Soul / R & B, and Double Bass / Metal styles.

TIGER ZANE (Contemporary
Rock/Pop Vocals, Vocal Coaching)
 Tiger
Zane has been a vocal and performance coach since 1996,
teaching students from 8 years old to 65 to find and develop
their voice. Although her background includes 10 years
of classical flute and several years of operatic vocal
training, her approach is contemporary, relaxed and upbeat
with a focus on expressing yourself through singing. Techniques
include vocal strengthening, breathing and body awareness
combined with personalized goal setting.
Tiger is also a Seattle based
singer/songwriter and guitarist performing regularly with
her 4 piece band.

 Suzanne
attended Eastern Montana College , continued her Suzuki
teacher training at the University of Puget Sound and underwent
advanced teacher training at the University of Illinois.
Suzanne has been teaching almost 20 years! Her students

MELANIE STUDLEY (Voice)
Melanie
received her BA from the Evergreen State College with emphasis in
Voice, Theater, and Expressive Arts. She has been in many musical
theater productions and was trained operatically at Whitworth College.
She loves all things musical, playing viola, guitar and any other
instrument she can get her hands on. Teaching voice is her
passion.
Melanie
is also a singer/songwriter and lead vocalist for her church praise
band and she has performed at many venues in the Seattle area,
including EMP. Her unique blend of experience and training gives
Melanie a rare perspective on the art of singing. Her background in
musical theater also enhances her ability to look beyond the notes of a
song, and to dissect character and emotion. Her experience as a
performer is also very helpful to students who need to understand that
she has been there too!

BOB LIMBOCKER (Guitar)
 Born
and raised in Seattle, WA, Bob has studied guitar for
ten years under the close tutelage of Lonnie Mardis, guitarist
out of the New England Conservatory. Upon completion of
his degree at the University of Washington, Bob traveled
to Barcelona, Spain for one year where he played and studied
a vast array of musical genres. Bob cites numerous influences
ranging from the seminal recordings of João Gilberto
and Antonio Carlos Jobim to the recent recordings of John
Scofield. He currently holds the guitar chair for the
Seattle Central Jazz Orchestra. As a teacher, Bob strives
to reach his students through the music they really want
to play, keeping the lessons fun, focused, and motivating.
